Meet Judge Rhonda Hunter

Rhonda Hunter of Dallas is Judge of the 303rd Judicial District Court of Dallas County, Texas. Judge Hunter is board certified in both Family Law and Child Welfare Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, an honor achieved by less than one percent of the attorneys in Texas. Previously, she was the owner of the Law Office of Rhonda Hunter where she practiced family law, child welfare law, probate law, served as guardian ad litem in civil litigation and represented lawyers in administrative proceedings. Judge Hunter served as the Administrative Chief of the Juvenile Division of the Dallas County Criminal District Attorney’s Office, where she supervised a staff of 50 dedicated to improving the lives of the citizens and particularly the children of Dallas County. Judge Hunter was a partner at Farrow Gillespie & Heath, a woman owned law firm. She is a board member and former president of the Dallas Bar Association; Chair of the State Bar of Texas Child Protection Law Section; member of the American Bar Association House of Delegates, where she serves as Secretary of the Racial and Diversity Caucus; former president of J.L. Turner Legal Association; former president of the Dallas Association of Black Women Attorneys; former member of the American Academy of Matrimonial. Lawyers, and former chair of the Dallas Bar Community Service Fund. She is the immediate past chair of the Committee for a Qualified Judiciary.
